The weather has been so fabulous lately so we have enjoyed lots of September outside! Sydni also started cheering for the FS Boys and Girls club. She loves it and did so well at her first game. I think Averi has turned the corner about hating pictures. I was able to get some super cute ones of her this month. 🙂

This weekend we made a quick trip to Kansas City for a visit with Mike and his family. We stayed at the Great Wolf Lodge. It was a super cute place with lots of things for the kids to do including a very cool indoor water park! We had so much fun playing in the park and hanging out at the mall (woohoo!). I wish we could have stayed longer but work and school calls…

We took the girls to the opening game of the Razorbacks! The girls woke up that morning READY to go! We managed to get them to wait until after lunch and a brief rest (note: NOT a nap) then headed up the hill. The girls had a great time tailgating at Mel’s mom’s house (Thanks for hosting Nancy!). At the game Averi made it one quarter then was DONE sitting. I kept her enteretained for a while in the club but couldn’t keep it up til the end of the game so we had to leave early. BUT it was a fun family outing and we got some good pics in the process 🙂 The Hogs won big too so that was awesome (thanks to XM radio for keeping us up to date on our ride home)! Big thank you to my mom and Hix for giving us the tickets!

We are getting back to normal around here! Sydni started 1st grade this month. She loves her teacher and is so excited to go to school every day! Averi is now a “senior” at her preschool. I still see her as a baby so it is so wild to think how big and grownup she is getting! The girls are back in dance, and they are still going to gymnastics every week. I even signed up Sydni for the cheer program at the boys and girls club this year…hoping that goes well. She is VERY excited about it.

We headed down to Crystal Beach this week to visit my dad’s family and hang out at Patti’s fantastic beach house! We had a great time!! The girls had a ball hanging out at the beach, doing all the arts and crafts their aunt had planned for them and just playing with their cousins. Averi especially enjoyed her furry cousins, Pancho, Quiggley and P! A big thank you to Patti and Ron for inviting us again this year. The memories we are making here are so precious to my family.

This month we mostly just hung around the Fort. It was nice to have a lazy month just pooling. We are in the pool almost every day. The girls are such good swimmers this year! Especially Sydni, she is so comfortable in the water! We did have a little family outing on a local train that took us to Winslow and back. The girls enjoyed it! They are getting so grown up. Especially Averi, I love how she says “actually” all the time and how excited she gets when she sees a butterfly. Love my pictures to remember their sweetness 🙂

Today we had the Davis and Settles over for swimming, bbqing and fireworks. The kids had a great time!! We are so lucky to have such wonderful friends to celebrate such a great day! I didn’t get any pool pics but got a few of the girls beforehand and the fireworks at the end.

Just a few pics this month of what we have been up to…besides Memorial Day, Disney World and bday parties. Sydni had her very last day of kindergarten! She did so well this year and learned so much. I am so excited to see what the next school year brings! Also we enjoyed Father’s day with the Settles in the pool. The girls are such waterbabies (with the exception of little Loghan. She hasn’t found the fun in it yet!)

The fam made a quick trip to OKC to visit the Whites and celebrate their little Piper’s 1st birthday! The girls had a ball running around with all the kids til after 10pm!! ….way past their bedtime! But all the kids did great and loved playing together. The White’s new house is beautiful, and it was so nice to get to celebrate such an important day with such a precious little girl. Happy Birthday Piper!

What an amazing trip we had!! Everyone is completely exhausted so I guess that means we made the most of our time there right?? We stayed at Disney’s Polynesian resort with a beautiful view of MK and access to the monorail from our lobby. AWESOME! I can’t say enough good things about this resort. The rooms, the food, the pool, the monorail, the beach…all top notch. We spent 2 days at MK and 1 day at AK. The girls loved the rides but loved meeting the characters just as much. I didn’t anticipate that for some reason. It was so wonderful seeing the looks on their faces. I can not wait for us to take them back in a few years. It was a magical week!
