We had a big party this weekend for little Averi’s 5th birthday! Her birthday was on a Wednesday this year so we opened a few presents at home with cupcakes then her real party was Saturday. We had it at the Park at West End. The weather was beautiful, and I think everyone had a wonderful time! Thank you so much to everyone for the gifts and coming to her party. I am so thankful that Averi is surrounded by so much love from such wonderful people. Thank you!

Its recital time again! Recital week always passes in a blur around here with late nights and lots of makeup. But we had a great time! Every year it gets easier and more fun! I was so very proud of my beautiful girls. They danced like angels. I am so thankful for them and their unique personalities. They are precious gifts.

This has been a fun month of soccer and tball! Both have kept us very busy with Averi have a couple practices a week along with Sydni’s 2 practices and game every Saturday. Also Sydni has finally conquered bike riding which was a huge deal around here. Just noticed I don’t have any pics of that! But if you have been following FB I have posted a couple videos. She loves it!

After much persuasion, Jim agreed to let me redo the countertops in our kitchen! YAY! We went to several different places but found the best price (and service if you can believe that) at Home Depot. Jim’s dad came over from TN to help tear out the old baby blue hideous formica. THANKS JOHN! Then the granite people came last week and installed. Jim and Grandpa John hooked up my pretty new sink then the following weekend Jim got to work on the light and backsplash. It looks SO GOOD! I love it! Looks like the cabinets will need a little work. I kinda like the color with the granite but they will definitely need to at least be refinished. But I might need to let Jim rest a while 🙂

We headed down south for a Nashville Easter this year. The girls were able to go to an egg hunt at my parents’ church on Saturday. We had amazing weather, and the girls had so much fun! Afterwards we went back to the house and hunted MORE eggs while my mom slaved away in the kitchen. We had the best Easter dinner ever though! Thanks Mom! I hope every had a wonderful Easter weekend and remembered HE HAS RISEN!

Hello Spring! The weather this month has been amazing! Averi got to see Veggie Tales Live with Peyton earlier this month. Its going to break my heart when these 2 friends have to part for kinder! The rest of the month we have enjoyed lots of afternoons outside. Sidewalk chalk has been a hit, but the bike riding has been a miss so far. Sydni is playing soccer this year and loving it! Averi is signed up again for tball and is tolerating it 🙂

This year we got season passes to Silver Dollar City in Branson. So we made our first trip of the year for Spring Break. We had so much fun! We got a groupon for a great little condo in Branson for 3 nights. However, Jim and I ended up on the couch foldout while the girls got the king size bed. Not sure how they pulled that off! The girls had a ball at the park and while it was a little chilly the rain did hold off while we were there! YAY! Sydni is definitely going to be a fighter pilot or at least a stunt woman! She couldn’t wait to drag her daddy on every roller coaster, and she loved each one! Averi and I stuck to the smaller rides and had just as much fun 🙂 I can’t wait to go back!

We have had a super fun February! I don’t really have many pictures…mainly ones from my phone. We were on the move a lot so the iphone had to make do…btw I definitely need a phone upgrade from the looks of my pics. Syd’s crazy GranGran otherwise known as my mom got us tickets and GREAT seats to Lauren Alaina in LR a couple weeks ago. It was so much fun! Sydni was in shock she was so excited….then we had a random snow with gorgeous spring weather ever since. Its been an awesome month!

2012 has been a blur already! We started it off with the Settles and some super cool lanterns. I think I enjoyed them as much as the kids 🙂 Then the girls got to participate in a dance clinic with the UAFS dance team. They loved it! I am going to have to find more things like this for them to do. Sydni was so bummed it was just one day, and I kind of enjoyed my Saturday morning to myself! HA!

We had a bunch of fun this weekend! Loghan had her 2nd birthday party, we had a shower for Makenna Sun arriving in a few weeks, and Reaghan turned 5! Celebrating with friends is too much fun!
