The Bottjens

Just the usual this month! Averi did get to go to a princess party with some of her friends that the high school sorority put on. They had a great time! And I was super glad to have another use out of her Elsa costume! The girls had some dress up days at school this month too. That is always exciting! For them anyway…I stress out trying to throw something together! We are starting to get really Christmasy over here! I LOVE CHRISTMAS and couldn’t wait to get the tree up and Christmas tunes on the radio. YAY!

So I am a bit in shock because I FORGOT to post October pics…?!?! Wow…that goes to show you the warp speed we are on over at the Bottjen house. WOW….I am sure you were all waiting with baited breath 🙂 This is kind of my little family album so its super important to me! I love that I have a window into any month I can think of in my girls’ lives. So anyway, let me catch you up…

October started out with the girls performing with the Dixie Belles at the football game. They love doing this and are always so excited to see their babysitter, Andrea. We also went to an Octoberfest celebration right down the road from our house. We hadn’t been since Averi was a baby so I had fun doing some compare pics!!

The girls had a busy halloween as always this year! Sydni had a party at her friend Laney’s house then we all went to trunk or treat at our church. Next year I really am going to do a trunk! It was so fun 🙂 On Halloween day the girls both had parties in their classrooms then we loaded up and visited ABF before ToT in our neighborhood with friends. We had a great time even though it was a little colder this year than it has been!!

We have been on the go most of the month so I didn’t get many pics! I tried to make up for it at Wild Things at the end of the month. School and activities are keeping us moving but the girls are enjoying it so far! Averi is back on her horse and Sydni is dancing a LOT so both girls are happy!! We ended the month at Wild Things Farm with our church. It was a lot of fun but SO HOT for fall!

We had a busy month trying to squeeze out the last few days of summer! Our BFFs the Whites came over from OKC for a weekend to hang out and relax. It was so much fun getting all the kiddos together and seeing how much they have grown. The girls finished up summer swim team with a swim meet. They both did so well! It was a lot of fun! I hope they will be able to do it more in years to come. With Sydni doing dance team and trying to get Averi back in horseback riding lessons there just doesn’t seem to be enough time in the day! Averi had a good report from her yearly ACH appt so we don’t have to go back for another 18 mo! Thank you Lord for taking care of her as always! The girls rounded out their summer with a trip to Branson with the grands then a few days with them at home. They had a great time! School is back and by open house day the girls actually were happy about it 🙂 Heres to another fun school year!

We had a great July! The girls went to VBS at our church which was actually in June, but the pics didn’t make my June post. This month Averi went to musical theater camp at UAFS. She had a great time! It was a really cute production, and I hope she can stay involved with it in years to come. Sydni decided to try out for her dance company’s competition team. I thought she should wait another year, but she really wanted to do it. So she did and she made it! It was very exciting 🙂 So we should have lots of competition pics coming next Spring! I am so proud of her!!! Please pray for her over the next school year. There will be many late nights and long practices, and I don’t want it to be too much for her! She is such a beautiful dancer that I don’t want it to take the fun from her.
