Cruise 06/15-20

Such a fun family vacation! This cruise was supposed to be just me and Jim, and the girls were going to stay with GranGran and Papaw. But 2 weeks before Papaw had to have last minute bypass surgery! Luckily he is doing fine but we decided it would be better to bring the girls along. Carnival was very accommodating moving us to a bigger room and letting us change our excursions. I am so glad we were able to bring them with us! We all had the best time! We had lots of family time and Jim and I were able to have some time together while the girls partied at Camp Carnival. We scheduled a dolphin swim and ride at Cozumel and that was by far the highlight of the trip! The girls were in awe…it was really wonderful. We are already wanting to do another one! But 7 day!! These 5 day cruises are way too short šŸ˜‰

The Girls 05/2015

Fun month of finishing off school activities and dance! May is always crazy so I am looking forward to a low key summer! The girls have had a great school year and are looking forward to 3rd and 5th grade. Wow I am old!

Recital Week 05/26-30

What a magical week! Lots of laughs, lots of smiles and lots of tears! Every year its more fun, and every year my girls amaze me. They have learned so much this year and grown so much in their dancing. While Papaw wasn’t able to make it this year, we gained Aunt Sue and Aunt Shana and of course GranGran came. We all had a great time! I was so thankful they were able to come celebrate and enjoy the girls! We are blessed to have found such a phenomenal studio like GDDS. I can not wait for next year!

Averi’s 8th bday 5/16

Averi had a perfect 8th bday! It seemed we celebrated all week! She got lots of gifts and received lots of love! It was a wonderful week for a wonderful kiddo. Thank you so much to all of those who sent gifts and also those who celebrated with us at Monkey House. She is a loved little girl. She has a special spunk to her mixed with slight mischievousness. But lucky for her its super hard to be mad at her for long. She has a caring heart and a loving spirit. I thank God for her every day!

Aristocats 04/25

Averi participated in the UAFS Academy of the Arts program, Aristocats, this spring. She got the part of Vichy the country dog. It was just a few lines but just perfect for her! She had such a good time with all the kids. I hope she wants to do it again!! It was a really good experience for her.

Talent on Parade 04/11

Sydni had her last dance competition today! The kids did great and scored so well. They took home lots of trophies and there were even more smiles and laughter!! I had no idea the effect this dancing team would have on Sydni. She has grown so much and I could not be more proud of the girl she is and the dancer she has become. She is ready for next season and so am I! šŸ™‚

Easter 2015

The fam went to Nashville for lunch and an egg hunt the Saturday before Easter. We also got some mother/daughter pics in. It was Sarah’s idea to do this and I am so glad she thought of it! It was fun to do and we are way easier to pose than the next group I attempted to do……we tried to get a grands pic before the egg hunt. And well we did the best we could šŸ™‚ I managed to get a few with everyone actually in the frame and somewhat looking and that was better than my goal!! Maybe in a few years we can try again! So thankful for my family and this time together. We had a great weekend!

The Girls 03/2015

We have enjoyed the coming of spring! The girls were ready for the pool as soon as it hit 60 degrees. Hopefully soon! I got some pics of Averi for her 5 yr dance award this year. I am so proud of the beautiful dancer she has become. With Sydni’s dance competition and a wedding we went to this month we haven’t done much else!!

Ikard Wedding 3/28

Hix’s great nephew (I think I got that right) got married this weekend! He is such a sweet kid (guess hes not a kid anymore) and he married a beautiful bride! We made a quick weekend trip of it and had lunch with the fam and a zoo trip. The wedding was beautiful and we had a ball at the reception.

Congrats GT and Anna! I hope you have a wonderful life together! My marriage advice…do your own laundry šŸ™‚
