Halloween 2015

The girls had a great halloween this year! Sydni went to a big kid party at a friend’s house complete with a bonfire and hayride! Our church had a trunk or treat and we did a trunk with the Lux’s. We had a huge crowd! It was a blast! Then halloween parades at their school with the big night Sat night. Sydni was all concerned about how many more trick or treat years she has left! HA! SO funny…She is my little holiday fairy. She decorated the house all herself! She was so into it this year….we are cherishing these fun events with our girls.

The Girls 10/2015

We had a great October! Grandpa John came to visit and we got to go to the fair which we haven’t done in forever AND got to cruise around in his vette…very cool! Averi had her followup at ACH and her kidney is looking good. We don’t have to go back for 18 mo this time! woohoo! So thankful she is doing well! Sydni went to a cotillion dance with her friend Alexa this month. It was sooooo fun getting her all dolled up. She loved it! I wish she could do the whole season but the kid is booked up!

The Girls 09/2015

School is in full swing and the girls are back to all their activities! Matt and his fam came for a visit on their way to the VanBuren train ride. The girls got to go too and celebrate an early bday with Rowdy. Then the girls had grandparent’s day at school and GranGran and Papaw were able to come up for that too. Sydni got to go to a hog game but sadly the hogs didn’t seem to show up. She had a good  time though!

Nicole and Dane’s wedding 9/25-28

The fam flew out to Denver then drove to Vail for my cousin Nicole’s wedding. It was a magical weekend in a magical place! We had a wonderful time! We had lots of time to check out the super cool town, shop, HIKE and do lots of sightseeing. Not to mention go to Nicole’s beautiful wedding. She looked gorgeous and it was such a great time! Congrats to Nicole and Dane! We wish you many many years of happiness 🙂

The Girls 08/2015

Summer is winding down and school is heating up! The girls aren’t exactly thrilled about that, but they were excited to see their friends and meet their teachers. I was excited about getting back to our normal routine again and with the beginning of school means the beginning of football season! WOOPIG! Dance will be starting up next week, and the girls have already gotten back to tumbling.

Omaha 8/7-10

The traveling Bottjens went on another adventure this summer to Omaha to visit Jim’s fam. We had a great time! Pool, shopping, zoo, fam reunion and even a night out on the town with the grownups which is always my fave when we visit. I even got to fit in a barre class with Tiff 🙂

The Girls 07/2015

We have had such a wonderful summer so far! The girls finished swim team this month and did so well! Sydni is a beautiful swimmer and Averi won 2 races at her swim meet! WOW! We also went to Nashville this month to check on Papaw and go to a big fam bday party. So fun! Next time I post our monthly pics the girls will be in 5th and 3rd grade. That is just so crazy to me…looking forward to it!

Pensacola 07/24-27

The fam went to Pcola for a long weekend to see my oldest and dearest and bestest friend and her sweet babies. We were super bummed the AF didn’t cooperate and let Jarrett be with us too but that just means we are for sure coming back next year! We got there Friday for a perfect oyster dinner. Saturday we hit the beach and visited the NAS museum. That night the grown ups went out for the best pizza EVER and blueberry beer. WOWZA. Sunday we had an amazing brunch with more beach time after. It was such a soul cleanser to see Kim and be able to be with her for a few days. I knew I needed it but didn’t realize how much til I saw her smiling face. Her babies are beautiful and am so excited for our kids to be “cousins”. We love them so much!

Sean and fam came up for a quiet weekend of food, fam and fireworks! We had a great weekend and the kiddos had a ball! We did lots of swimming and lots of eating so it was a great time 🙂 We sure did miss the beach though!!

The Girls 06/2015

June has been a super fun month! School finally ended so I have a few pics of the last day. Then after our amazing cruise the girls will be busy with dance, gymnastics and swim team this summer. Sydni made the dance team again! She was  thrilled! It has been so fun to watch her improve and love dance over the last year. Both girls took some summer dance classes and Averi gave hip hop a try and really enjoyed it! So she will add that class in the fall. Tumbling has been going well too. Both girls are improving so much and it gets them off the couch and their electronics which is the main goal 🙂 This year both girls moved up a level at swim team. I am so glad they have this opportunity each year. The coaches do such a good job with the kids!
