We had a great May! The girls said goodbye to 3rd and 5th. Averi will move over to the “big kid” side of the school and Sydni will be the “senior” on campus. So crazy how time flies…they had all As and Bs this last 9 weeks and had a great year!

Recital week is over and that is always bittersweet! It was a great week! The girls had such a great cheering section! GranGran and Papaw came up and Aunt Sue got to come again! Then our cousin Lindsi came all the way from Corpus Christi to see the girls dance! It was so wonderful to have all of them here and meant so much to us. It made the girls feel very special.
Averi had 4 dances adding hiphop this year. She did SO GOOD! I was so proud of her! Who knew she could shake it like that?? 😉 She danced Thursday night and was darling! Sydni had 4 dances plus her 3 company dances so she danced both nights. She was amazing! She has grown in her dancing so much this year. We all cried at her contemporary dance. It was beautiful. I was amazed last year by how much company helped her but this year was even better! This group of kids and teachers has been such a gift to her. I am so grateful. We are already looking forward to next year! Averi isn’t ready to try out for company yet, but she will of course be dancing again next year and will probably be signing up for lyrical (my FAVE! so excited for her!) Tryouts are Friday so keep Sydni in your prayers.

I can’t believe my little one is 9 years old! It just doesn’t seem possible! She had a great birthday with lots of friends. She had a fun party at Elevate then strawberry picking with the Grands. Averi is so funny, sweet and kind that sometimes I have to remind myself that shes really mine 🙂 We love her so much! Thank you to all who came to the party and sent gifts! She had a great day!

We had a fun month keeping up with activities but we squeezed in a quick trip to SDC to make up for being snowed out last month! We had so much fun and the weather was perfect!

This was Sydni’s last dance competition of the season! SO SAD! But she and her friends danced the best ever!! It was awesome! Can not wait for next year!

We have had a great start to Spring! I missed including Syd’s DMI cd pics from her last competition so I put some of my faves in this month! The girls had book character day at school and WON in their grades! So that was pretty exciting…I feel bad for complaining about it now bc it was actually kinda fun once we got going! 🙂 Lots of school and church activities too! The weather is getting warmer and we are counting the days til pool season!

We spent Easter Saturday in Nashville with the fam. We had a yummy lunch, lots of pics and then an egg hunt! The kids were so fun and had a ball! Easter Sunday was home at our church. It was a chill family day. Loved it!

We went to Branson for some Spring Break fun this year! We stayed at a great little place with a beautiful view and plenty of room! SDC ended up being a bust bc it was too cold for any of the rides to open but we made up for it the next day ziplining! SO FUN!

When I was little I thought Traci got cancer because we used to sneak Flinstone chewable vitamins when my mom wasn’t looking. When I got older I thought it was the dumb doctors in Japan where she was born. Into adulthood I decided on another theory. And while it also may not be true, like the others it brings me comfort. God didn’t give Traci cancer. The devil did. God of course has the ability to see into the future. He sees our choices and he sees the consequences. I believe he knew Traci needed to go to heaven. In order for Sarah to be our sister. In order for Sean to be our brother. In order for Hix and his family to join our lives. In order for me to meet so many friends here in Arkansas and marry Jim. He knew how important it was for Sydni, Averi, Keaton, Aubrey, Rori and Rain to be born. It doesn’t make it easier. I truly realized that at her grave this weekend. But it does give me hope. And it does give my life meaning. It gives all our lives meaning really. All the lives her life and death affected. Which are a lot! I tried to explain that to Dad so many times. He never was able to find the life in her death and there is so very much life! We put him to rest this weekend where he always said he wanted to be. I am so glad we could all go and do it together. It was a beautiful day.

Not many pics this month! We were crazy busy per the usual! Just some fun school functions, Sydni got to go the capitol with her class and then of course VALENTINES parties! Oh we did go downtown to the art museum for a fun class on oil painting 🙂 Random but it was a lot of fun!! haha
