Sydni had the opportunity to compete with her solo at a dance competition in Rogers called The Dance Effect. You could compete in 3 different levels, and Sydni was in the highest called Legacy. She danced beautifully and received Platinum, the highest level rating 🙂 (We even fit in some Promenade shopping! woot!) I am so proud of how hard she has worked this year! She would be at the studio every day if I let her! I am so glad she has found something that makes her heart smile.

We had a wonderful cruise this spring break!! And we learned something ….spring break cruises are the BEST! The weather was AMAZING! What a gorgeous week…
We cruised out of New Orleans to Cozumel, Belize and Honduras and had a ball! We visited a great resort in Cozumel, did some cave tubing and ziplining in Belize then hit the beach for snorkeling in Honduras. It was so fun! We had some bumps along the way but we are a family and we worked through them like families do. And ALL of us can’t wait for our next Spring break cruise!

Sydni and her team had a great weekend at DMI! They performed beautifully and took lots of great classes! This convention is so awesome! Syd always has a great time and is exhausted when its over. haha! Her solo received a 2nd place rating and then her group dances got 2 first places and 1 second place. They did an amazing job! I thought it was their best performances yet!

So I may start combining months…we are either slacking on pics or just too busy to take any! I can’t decide which…but I love my online photo album so I am going to keep it going 🙂 This month started Sydni’s competition season so that has kept us on the move! Somehow her dance teacher made time to get married in all the craziness! And the reception was beautiful! We had so much fun. The Lewis’s came up from Florida to visit family so we joined up with them at the horse races. The girls had never been before and they loved it!

Sydni had another opportunity to dance her solo at a competition in FS this weekend. She danced beautifully! It was a long day but a lot of fun! She competed in the top level category in the 12-14 age range. She scored a platinum rating and was invited to their dance intensive in NYC this summer! So exciting! I love watching her dance, and I love the time we get to spend together doing it…even if the stress strips years off my life!

We had such a great weekend for Sydni’s first competition of the year! My mom was able to come with us up to Branson this year. It made it so much more special! Sydni did her solo Friday night. She scored a platinum score…the highest level AND was ranked 6th out of 35! I was thrilled for her!!!! The next night she did 3 dances. 2 scored high gold earning them 3rd and 1st place in their categories and her 3rd dance scored a gold. It didn’t rank but it is a fantastic dance! I know they can make it even better for the next competition!! Syd danced her tail off all weekend with zero complaining….about dance anyway 😉 I am so proud of how hard she has worked and even more proud that is she a part of such a supportive and inspiring dance family.

My sister got MARRIED! SO EXCITING! These 2 crazy kids bounced around many wedding ideas in a month’s time and next thing I know they are getting married on New Years day! It was crazy and hectic and absolutely perfect and beautiful. Sarah had a vision in her head of what she wanted and it was lovely. We all worked together and it was a such a great day! So happy Chris and Aiden are joining are wild and crazy crew! Congrats Sarah and Chris!

We had a wonderful Christmas this year! After a beautiful Christmas Eve service we had dinner as a family then headed home to open presents! The girls were SO READY! The next day after Santa we headed south to see Gran and Pap. It was a relaxing day with great food and lots of laughter. It was so good to be with family. I also included some faves of our Christmas session with Jade Graves. She did a great job!

Sydni had such a great weekend! First thing on her bday morning she dove into her gifts. She got so many great things AND she finally got a REAL phone number. And she is over the top excited about it! That afternoon she went to a hiphop workshop at her dance studio then straight home to shower and change for her bday night! We took her and her friends to the Escape Room. So fun! Then dinner, cupcakes and shopping. Such a fun night!
