Recital Week 5/19-24

My girls had a wonderful recital week!!!! Every year it just keeps getting better! I am so proud of them and how hard they have worked this year. This week is always a challenge keeping up with late nights, school, work, dance, etc…but every year they pull it off! I could watch them dance every day all day. It brings me such joy! My girls are so blessed to be surrounded by such amazing instructors who truly care about them. It is a gift that I hope we never take for granted. They are building friendships and relationships that I hope last a lifetime. So ready for next year!

The Dance Effect 04/27-28

Last comp Best Comp! It was a great weekend filled with even greater dancing! Sydni did her best solo performance ever with a platinum score and placed 4th overall!! Her small group was flawless and received platinum, 2nd overall and a judge’s choice! Her large groups did really well too with 1 plat and 3 high golds and a judge’s choice! This season has been a roller coaster but all these kids are better dancers in the end and that is the goal. Sydni has grown so much this year and her solo was a testament to that. SO excited for next year!

The Girls 03-04/19

Another fun few months! Sydni had a choir concert and several dance competitions. She also had tryouts for next year’s drill team and was chosen for captain! So exciting! They have already performed a couple times too! Averi was recognized at the Arkansas State PTA conference in Eureka Springs for winning her age category in dance which was so exciting! They had a luncheon for the kids and they got to tour a wildlife reserve there. We made a quick trip to Nashville to celebrate our Aunt Sue’s bday but had to hurry back because Sydni was being inducted into National Honor Society and Averi had volleyball…which she loves! We had a quiet Easter at home and didn’t get to go to my mom’s sadly bc of all the activities and lucky we didn’t bc Syd got sick! And last Averi just got back from a retreat with her confirmation class to Sky Ranch. She had a blast!

Radix 4/5-7

Sydni and some of her team went to the Radix convention and competition this year! Sydni went last year and had a ball so this year she brought some friends! The kids really wanted to do their solos but all solo slots were filled unless they had a group dance so Mrs. Andrea whipped up the coolest small group dance and they practiced their hearts out for weeks and here we are! They were amazing! It was a great weekend! I love that Sydni is surrounded by such great kids and motivating instructors <3

Talent on Parade 3/24

Sydni performed her solo at Talent on Parade this year and was beautiful! She received a diamond rank, an invite to the TOP Starz performance, a solo dance challenge award and 5th overall in the competitive level!! It was a great day!

Cruise 03/16-22

We had another awesome family cruise! We have actually done this particular one 3 times now but we always enjoy it! We were on the Glory this time which we hadn’t been on before though. We had a nice beach day in Cozumel and an amazing excursion day in Progreso, highly recommend this one! So thankful the weather cooperated and we were able to enjoy our time!! Only complaint is it wasn’t long enough! We just did a 5 day this time and none of us were ready to leave!

The Girls 01-02/19

Lots of basketball games the last 2 months for Sydni and Averi even got in on the fun when she did a clinic with the Ramsey cheerleaders! Sydni participated in a home convention that her company did with the Industry Experience. She really enjoyed it and was able to learn more one on one! We still both missed DMI though …hopefully the kids go do both next year! Averi had a big couple months too! She was picked for Student of the Month and then the dance she submitted to the state wide PTA contest WON for the middle school age division!!!!! I am so proud of her!

Rainbow 2/15-16

Sydni and her team had a great competition this weekend! Sydni scored a platinum on her solo as well as all 4 of her group numbers! 2 of them placed in the top 10! The kids looked amazing this weekend! I couldn’t be more proud that Sydni is a part of this awesome team!

HDJ 01/18-20

Sydni had a great first convention/competition with her team this weekend! She was such a pro this weekend! I was so proud of her!! It was a very long and exhausting weekend and it can get to you physically but even more so mentally. She was composed and beautiful all weekend. The dances were awesome! I can’t wait to see them compete again!

The Girls 11-12/18

Somehow in all the fall craziness I think I missed the Nov post…so 2 links in this one!

Nov and Dec kept us on the move with choir and dance! I pray 2019 is as good to us as 2018. We had a great year! Sydni made all region choir and Averi was Cindy Lou Who in our church’s Christmas play! Sydni danced at her first last football game and her very first basketball game. These are so much fun! I love the extra opportunities to watch her dance! Averi is LOVING her new bird, Charlie. And I am learning to get along with him 🙂
