We had a great Tday this year! We spent Thursday lunch at my mom’s then headed to the cabin thru Sunday with Sean’s fam. We had a wonderful time eating way too much and not finishing a giant puzzle!!! ugh! But we had fun trying!! We also did some fun ornament crafts 🙂 We probably just need to stick with that activity from now on!

We have had a fun couple months! I probably should have broken this up into 2 posts!! Sydni has kept busy with her drill team. Averi wrapped up her YAG play and started up her volleyball season! She had so much fun with volleyball she decided to tryout for FSJ…the competitive team here in town. So that will keep us on the move for sure!

Sydni had a great first convention/competition of the season! Nuvo is always her fave and this one didn’t disappoint! She has done her solo here the last several years and really likes getting this kind of professional opinion on it early on so she can improve it before the all the other competitions that start in Jan….but since it is so early in the season it is always a challenge to get it ready. This girl does NOT quit though. She was determined to get this solo done and beautiful for Nuvo and she certainly did! Even with a late start and a hurt back! It was gorgeous! Can’t wait to watch it again! I also want to thank her teacher and choreographer Andrea! This lady is amazing and is so supportive of Sydni. We are so blessed by her! She also got to do a trio!!! SO FUN! It was her small group from late last year that the kids got together in order to perform their solos at Radix. The kids ended up loving it though and decided to keep it this year. It is SO GOOD! AND Sydni gets to perform it with Sawyer and Daelyn! AMAZING dancers and friends! So its just extra special <3

Well summer is officially wrapped up and I have both my girls at junior high! SO CRAZY! Averi is adjusting well and Sydni is loving being a big time freshman. We have lots of volleyball, play and drill practice going on….with tumbling, cheer and soon to be dance thrown in so we are gearing up for a fantastic school year!

Since this will be Averi’s 10th year of dance and bc Jade’s pics are always SO fun I scheduled a session for the girls at Crystal Bridges. The weather could not have been more glorious and we had the best time running around taking pics and changing behind buildings and sheets…haha! I love these pics soooo much! They are precious to me <3

What a fantastic visit we had! I hadn’t seen Kim in 2 years! 2 YEARS! That is completely unacceptable…our summer was jammed packed as was Kim’s but we finally were able to make a date work. AND we were able to fly which really helped! That drive is BRUTAL. We lounged around in the mornings drinking mimosas … sight see and beach in the afternoons… then would go out in the evening and I was in bed by 10 every night. PERFECT vacay. Its been a long time since I have talked and laughed that much in such a short period of time! Jarrett had to work in the mornings but he somehow made it home for our afternoon and evening fun! I loved our families getting to spend this time together!

While the girls were at church camp Jim and I went to Vegas for the week! We hadn’t been since before Sydni was born!!! We had so much fun! We stayed at the MGM and hung out by their AMAZING pool complex for a couple days…it was lovely! And then the last day went downtown for some gambling! It was so fun!!!

June pics are up! Sydni had her first drill camp week of freshman year! She worked her booty off that week and we got to see the dances at the end of the week. So cute!! Averi went to a couple volleyball camps this month!! She learned so much and has really improved! I can’t wait to watch her play in a real game!! Sydni had company tryouts and made the team for year #6!!! It is going to be a really special year I think 🙂 We got the list of conventions/competitions they are going to and its bigger and better than ever before! SO EXCITING! Averi tried out for her 3rd YAG play and made the cast!!! She and her bestie Meg are going to be in Curious George in Sept! SO FUN! Then BOTH girls went to church camp this year and had a BLAST!! It was in Panama City Beach and while the trip was LONG I think the beach made up for it!

May is always one of my fave months of the year! Recital week, Mother’s Day, Averi’s bday and the start of summer! Such a fun crazy time! We also had drill pics with Sydni’s new team. It was raining like crazy so we took pics at the RAM. Then they had their very first performance for the 6th grade orientation. Also this month Averi chose to be baptized! She has been in confirmation class for the last 6 months focusing on her faith. It was a really special moment to see her baptized!! And now we are ready for summer!

We had a great time celebrating Averi’s bday! It fell mid week on volleyball game day so we got to celebrate with her team between games and a win in the 2nd game! Her party was at elevate and then we came home for pizza, cake, swimming and airtack! The tornado was unplanned but thankfully we were all safe!
