The Girls 11-12/2020

We had a wonderfully busy and fun couple holiday months! The girls finished up football season. It was so fun! Averi went right into basketball season but Sydni has only had 1 bball game so far. Football season is special but its much better during basketball bc you can see them perform much better. Sydni started her dance comp season in Branson. It was a fun one and did really well! We did some quick Christmas shopping in LR which is always fun and the girls had Christmas parties all month long! So happy they can celebrate with their friends during these crazy corona times!

Christmas 2020

We had a wonderful Christmas holiday even with the covid weirdness! We were able to attend Christmas Eve services which is always a fave then dinner at Olive Garden …our holiday tradition then presents at home. That night we zoomed our family up north. We visited and sang carols. It was so much fun! Santa came Christmas morning then we headed south to see the Nashville fam! I couldn’t ask for anything more! But praying next Christmas things are a bit more normal!

Sydni’s sweet 16th 12/17

Sydni turned 16 this year! It just doesn’t seem possible! She has been practicing driving ALL the time since this summer so we turned over the keys and pray daily! Please keep her in your prayers to stay safe! We started off the bday celebrations with a photoshoot with Anne Marie. It was SO FUN and the pics are perfect! Exactly what we wanted <3 I can’t wait for Averi’s 16th 🙂 Then on her actual bday she had dinner downtown with friends with a surprise visit from her cheer friends who had practice that night and couldn’t make dinner. I am so thankful Sydni has sweet supportive girls around her!!! SO IMPORTANT at this age. The next day we headed to NWA to trade off her bday cash at Lululemon. Such a fun day!

NUVO Dallas 12/3-5

Well Sydni was supposed to have her very first convention with Soar Dance Academy at NUVO Memphis over Halloween weekend…but guess what?! That’s right…our friend Rona. So we rescheduled for Dallas, the epicenter of so many amazing dancers. And not only Dallas but since Cali and Vegas shut down so many indoor things AGAIN, all THOSE AMAZING DANCERS came to Dallas too. It was SO COOL. And just for fun our studio got the 7a compete time for the girls’ solo. haha…the girls were all troopers. You would never know it was 7a when they were dancing. Just gorgeous! Virtual awards were that night and Sydni won HIGH GOLD for her solo!!! She has gotten the gold level the last 4 years at this comp so it was SO EXCITING to hear her break through! Syd loved all the classes of course and Dallas is always fun! Being downtown was really cool …although the traffic and homeless people were not. We got to shop a lot and found a yummy place to eat all weekend that we hope to visit again when we come back for Radix in March WITH GROUP DANCES!!! WOOT!

Thanksgiving 2020

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving this year! All be it a bit different per the usual 2020….this year we did our cabin time before Thanksgiving…not sure I liked that but it works a lot better with the family activities! We got a great cabin in Hochatown again..this one was so big and roomy with lots of space. No hottub but beautiful views! Then we headed to mom’s for actual Thanksgiving. I am so incredibly thankful for my family and all their craziness.

The Girls 09/10-2020

What a great couple months we have had! Its weird. And its different. But we are making it work!!!!! It did start out a little rough with Averi in quarantine for close proximity to covid. But we survived. Lots of volleyball and football with lots of cheering and dancing so that’s always fun!!! I have a ton of pics this last couple months so yay! I am SO excited for the holidays and comp season coming up for both Sydni AND Averi. Sydni has a few chances to run her new solo before the beginning of next year and Averi will get to compete with her cheer team!!  Saying a prayer this ridiculous corona STAYS AWAY from our family and yours.

    Sydni Anne Marie Teen Team 06-08/20

    Sydni applied to do some modeling with Anne Marie’ teen team, a local photog. She had the best time and got to do some really cute and creative photo shoots! Annie did a great job working with the girls and doing something different each time! I look forward to working with her in the future!

    The Girls 07-08/2020

    Lots more pics to share this month! Which means life is starting to resume which makes this momma VERY HAPPY! However my chauffeuring tasks have picked up quite a bit! With Sydni in much more dance and belles on top of that then Averi doing volleyball and tumbling again with cheer on top of THAT  and THEN both girls at different schools this year things are cray. But I promise to never complain of that again! I love seeing my girls out and about and LIVING. YAY!

    “Freshman Formal” 07/20

    Well in typical covid-19 fashion, Sydni’s freshman formal at Ramsey was canceled. SO disappointing. Luckily her sweet friends that are incoming belles this year got together and did a little formal of their own! The girls got to dress up and do pics and have a lovely dinner! It was just what they needed <3 and the mommas too I think! So excited to watch these girls dance the next 3 years!

    Soar Dance Academy 6/10

    Sydni has started dancing with Soar Dance Academy. Andrea has been her teacher and choreographer the last few years and Sydni has just really exceled under her instruction. I am very grateful she has a place to continue to learn and get better! Jade Graves photography came out to the dance studio and took some pics of the girls. It was SO MUCH FUN! Andrea had so many cool ideas!! We didn’t get a chance to do all of them but maybe next time!! I am so excited for Syd and this opportunity! She has a passion and a drive not many understand. I even struggle sometimes but her dad and I will always support her and we will always ensure she is in the proper place to follow her dream.
