Cruise 06/09-16

Jim and I got to go to the amazing southern Caribbean for our 10 yr anniversary (a couple months early). Mom and Hix were kind (brave) enough to watch the girls for us for the week, and we headed off! Our stops were San Juan, St Thomas, Barbados, St Kitts, St Lucia and St Martin. The islands were so beautiful that my pics do not do them justice! We had an amazing time! The cruise ship was awesome with terrific service and great food. The boat is just as fun to us as the islands! I was already on the web planning our next trip at the airport on the way home. 🙂 AMAZING vacation! Happy 10 years Babe!

The Girls 05/2013

What a quick month that was! May is always one of my fave months along with December. Maybe it has something to do with my girls’ birthdays but these months are always so much fun! Averi is still slugging away at tball. Sydni wrapped up soccer and should have her end of the season party this week. Our garden is still alive amazingly. A little MiracleGrow helped it out! The girls finished kindergarten and 2nd grade this month too. Both girls did awesome in school this year. I am so very proud of them! This summer we are adding horseback riding lessons for Averi and cheer lessons for Sydni so stay tuned for these developments. 🙂 The girls are so excited about them!!

Jim’s MBA 05/18

Jim has been working on his MBA at night for almost 3 years, and TODAY he completed it! Mom and Hix were able to come with us to the ceremony. Not only did he graduate but he graduated as a member of Delta Mu Delta, the international honors society, and with a perfect 4.0! Hows THAT!? 🙂 The girls and I are so very proud of him and even prouder that we have him home every night from now on! Congrats honey!

Averi’s 6th Birthday 5/16

What a great party for Averi’s 6th birthday! We booked Cross My Art for a super fun party. Averi and some of her friends got to paint a frame and a canvas. The ladies there were so sweet and SO talented! We all had the best time. I can’t wait to go back. 🙂 Thank you so much to everyone for celebrating our baby’s big day! She has the softest heart and sweetest spirit. She is a blessing every day!

Settle #3 05/11

Tonight was so much fun! Our best friends, Sam and Melissa, are expecting baby #3 in October. Mel agreed to make the gender reveal more fun with a party! So at her ultrasound last week the nurse wrote the gender on an ultrasound pic and sealed it tightly in an envelope. I took it to the bakery where they whipped up a cake with blue or pink on the inside. No one knew what #3 was except for the nurse, the cake lady and a random customer at the cake shop when I picked it up! HA! Everyone sported their team PINK and team BLUE colors to dinner….with team BLUE leading the pack. Landry had the honor of cutting the cake at dinner and ……BOY!!!!!!!  We are so excited for the them!!! This baby has been a long time coming, and we couldn’t be happier for this amazing family. I do hope he doesn’t hold it against me that I was hoping for pink 😉

Recital 5/3

Dance recital week!!! So fun/exciting while draining/exhausting all at the same time! Sydni had 4 dances this year- ballet, tap, jazz and hip hop while Averi had 3 dances- ballet, tap and jazz. They were troopers all week practicing and dancing and getting to bed very late! They are beautiful dancers, and we all had a great time. GranGran and Papaw came up too to watch them dance. This year the studio wouldn’t allow parents backstage during the show, and I am so glad! It forced me to stay in my seat and enjoy the all the performances. My OCD would normally have had me up and down all night!

The Girls 04/2013

This month I got some pretty spring pics of the girls before church. Soccer and tball are underway so that is keeping us VERY BUSY…along with dance and gymnastics! Spring is always so hectic…and in our spare time we have started a garden! HA! Looking forward to a lazy summer!

Easter 03/30-31

We spent Easter weekend in Nashville this year. We went to church on Sunday, ate my mom’s BEST fried chicken for lunch then hunted Easter eggs that afternoon. We had such a wonderful time hanging out with our family and enjoying each other. There was a crazy storm Sunday morning and I thought for sure we would be hiding eggs inside but the skies parted and gorgeous sunshine was out for the rest of the day. We had a great afternoon!

The Girls 03/2013

We had a pretty good month! We all went to Fayetteville earlier this month with the Grands. While they enjoyed the UofA gym meet, Jim and I wandered around Dickson looking for a parking spot. Wow…what happened to the good ole days?! We did end up finding one and grabbing a quick dinner. The girls got to spend a few days of spoiling during spring break at GranGran and Papaws’. They always have a ball! Soccer is getting under way, and Sydni LOVES it! She is so much fun to watch! Tball practice has started up and Averi is being a real trooper about it! I am anxious to watch her play this year…in year 3 of tball you would think she would be Hank Aaron right?! (i hope thats a baseball player…its sounds right and I am too lazy to google!)

Tulsa Aquarium 03/22

We decided to load up and meet Kelly and her kids in Tulsa to visit the aquarium….on Spring Break….on the coldest day of the week….while Oklahoma is also on Spring Break. Not the brightest move on our part, BUT the kids had a ball anyway. It was so great to see Kelly. We miss her and the fam so much here in the Fort. We are already planning another trip together…without the rest of the population of the tristate area 🙂
