Sydni’s Graduation 5/18

What an fun and wonderful time we have had celebrating Sydni’s graduation. I decided to put all of the events into one post since there were so many! We still have her upcoming party and showcase but I will save that for later! For Sydni’s graduation pics we did 4 mini session with Anne Marie each season. It was so fun to do and Annie was so amazing to work with as always! I loved all the pics!! I hope to frame 1 from each season together. <3

Syd made a last minute pivot on her after grad plans and decided to attend UofA in Fayetteville in the fall! Its been a whirlwind but she is enrolled, has a roommate and a dorm room and is ready to go! I 0/10 recommend waiting this late but God took care of her as He always does and she is very happy about her future so we are too!

There are pics of her college announcement, color wars, UofA tour, Grace Senior Sunday, baccalaureate, last day of school, senior prom, elementary walk and finally actual graduation day. Its the most fun and the happiest I have seen her. I am so very proud of her and SO excited for her future. I know she will do great things because she has a great heart <3

Averi’s 16th 5/16

Well my taxi services have officially ended! And I have to say I am pretty sad about it!! Averi turned 16 right in the middle of graduation week but she was able to have a party the following weekend with all of her friends so it all worked out! She is the most special kid with the most beautiful heart and I literally love everything about her <3

The Girls 3-4/2023

Sydni wrapped up 3 years of belles while Averi closed out year 1 of varsity cheer and made the team for year 2! Gran was here for a week so we got to have some fun in Fayetteville and celebrate Easter with her. Its been an exciting bittersweet couple of months around here.

TOP Hot Springs 5/5&7

This is Sydni’s last dance competition ever. Crazy to think about… But she ended it with a bang!!

Her solo scored double diamond, placed 4th overall in 17-19 competitive, won best choreography and won the Contemporary Category Cup (highest scoring contemporary dance)
She also won TOP Starz and a GoPro scholarship!! She was on fire that night! SO exciting!

Fluid Denver 3/30-2

We had a great long weekend in Denver for Fluid this year! Averi tagged along with Sydni and I and we had a ball! Thurs we drove up to Boulder and shopped and watched the sunset at Lost Gulch Lookout (the beginning anyway…way too cold!) The next day we went south to check out Garden of the Gods. It was beautiful!! After battling Denver traffic we made it back for Sydni’s solo. She was amazing! Platinum and 4th overall! Saturday Syd’s groups all scored platinum with “Marked Manipulation” scoring platinum power (their highest tier!) Marked also got 1st overall!! That is their first overall WIN! WOOT! Dream placed 3rd which I absolutely love! Then at awards Tracie Stanfield picked Sydni to receive the 5 day broadway dance center pass! Such a great last convention for my girl. Her senior year is wrapping up quickly…

Radix 3/10-12

This is Sydni’s LAST radix comp!! So wild… I remember when she was in 7th grade and begged to go to this one… It is by far the most difficult and competitive that she goes to. She has gone to 5 now (should be 6 but stupid covid). This year her friend Sawyer (who is already in college) was able to come and take classes with her which was SO fun!! Sydni did a beautiful job on her solo scoring high gold, received a callback in auditions from Brian Friedman himself and ended the weekend with a standout in jazz/contemporary award. Such a wonderful weekend! Soaking her in <3

The Girls 1-2/2023

These couple months truly passed in a blur. The girls had so many fun basketball games! I think they had some of the best dances/performances I have seen this year. It was so fun and so special and so memorable seeing my girls cheering/dancing together. I will never ever forget it. There was also basketball hoco (Ave didn’t go :|), little girl clinics for both girls, Averi was inducted into DBS and of course senior night. The senior belles were flawless and looked absolutely beautiful. I am so proud of Sydni. These last 3 years haven’t looked anything like I thought they would but it was hers. I absolutely adore who she is and her amazing strength. SO excited to watch her grow in the fall!

Averi Cheer Comp – Sophomore Year

Averi competed on the SHS competition cheer team again this year! It is a LOT of work and a LOT of time but their team was SO SO Good this year! They competed in Bentonville, Van Buren, Rogers and Alma winning 2 of the 4 then headed to state in Hot Springs where they ended up with runner up in the state! Which means they get to go to NATIONALS in Orlando again! I was able to go with them which was so fun!! At prelims they were 1st and scored the highest of anyone in their division all weekend! Since they were first in their group they were able to skip semis and go straight to finals on Sunday! It was so exciting watching the kids find out!!! They had a fall in finals and ended up with 5th in the nation. While AMAZING it broke this momma’s heart to see my girl and her friends so disappointed. Especially since they are such an amazing team!!!! BUT I think it will light a fire in them for next year! I am so proud of Averi for working so hard!!

The Girls 11-12/2022

These 2 months brought the end of football season (Sydni’s last!!) and the beginning of basketball! I love basketball season while not as exciting as football season you can see the girls dance/cheer better AND its indoors 🙂 The girls had all things Christmas as well including parties and parades! So much fun <3

Christmas 2022

Christmas is always a special time around here. It was hard not to be a little sad with our traditions changed up and missing our Pap but we still had a wonderful holiday together as a fam. We did cookies and gifts with the Settles then went to our favorite part of Christmas, our Christmas Eve church service. It was just beautiful! Dinner at Olive Garden then presents at home. On Christmas Day we stayed home all day in our PJs!! It was SO nice and relaxing. The next day we headed south for a Nashville Christmas…. probably the last one at my mom’s house which hurts my heart. But we rallied as a family and had a wonderful time complete with a Godwink moment from Pap. Check the pic captions for the story <3
